Wife [in an annoyed tone]: Are you asleep?
Hubs: No. I'm just trying to avoid making eye contact. It's safer that way.

And now ... for you, dear readers, so that you will better understand the ebb and flow of varying temperaments in this house:
I posted this photo last Christmas. It pretty much sums us up.
To the left: Grouchy anti-morning people, one of whom clearly hasn't had her coffee
To the right: Perky, early-rising people (note the bright eyes and ability to smile)
For full effect, click and enlarge. Note the slitted eyes on the left, the playful grins on the right?
You can see how PMS would only ... enhance ... these ... differences...

Oh jeesh. My husband os a morning person. Makes me ill. My younger son was as well but he's 16 now so he's cranky all the time. LOL.
that picture is awesome, truly.
The Mayor and I are the slitty eye ones. Rooster and K are effing CHIPPER. That is just wrong.
That's hilarious, if you don't mind me saying LOL. Once upon a time we had a division like that but it's all over now. Now we all greet morning with surprised reluctance.

I love the conversation between you and your hubby. Smart man.
And the picture is absolutely adorable :)
I am so not a morning person. Husband has learned to accept it and even embrace it...sort of.
Your husband seems to have a sense of humor similar to that of mine.
So your girl is going to take after you, eh? :)
That is hilarious. I love the avoiding eye contact line. The division is worse at my house. The two morning people are the children. Bad mojo.
That is hilarious. So your daughter is like your mini-me then?
I would be sitting right there on your side of the couch.
Hahahaha! That is hilarious! I am not a morning person either, I can relate!
My boys and I would be on the left. The princess and da da go to the right.
Gawd forbid he leave a glass out of the dishwasher!
PMS is such a pain
